LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene)
LDPE, is produced by high pressure process of polyehtylene (1600 ATM and 200°C temperature) Compare to HDPE it has more branches in its moleculer structure so it has less crystallinity. Also with the same reason it has low rigidity and durability with a limited chemical resistance. However its impact strength is comparatively higher.LDPE can be used between -40-70°C
- Specific Gravity : 0,92 gr/cm³
- Tensile Strenght: 10-20 MPa
- Flexural Modulus : 300-500 MPa
- IZOD Impact Strenght (notched) : 500 kj/m²
- Heat Deflection Temperature : 110 ºC
- Vicat Softening Temperature : 94 ºC

LDPE can be shaped with known thermoplastics processes.
For injection processes working temperatures are adviced between 180-240°C.
